We are seeking highly motivated, dependable and responsible security monitors for a long term contract assignment located downtown Newark, NJ. Candidates will be responsible for ensuring workplace safety, adherence to facility rules and regulations; respond to and seek out available staff to confront inappropriate behavior and policy violations; may assist staff in emergency situations and help to maintain an optimum work area (i.e. clean, no crowds, keeping a duty log, maintaining a quiet and orderly environment on the ground floor, and no unauthorized guests in the booth during your shift). Perform other duties as assigned. 

The ideal candidate should have great communication skills (both verbal and written), good computer skills (MS office suite/Database), the ability to identify and report concerns or work related problems, the ability to stand for a long period of time and the ability to work well with others. Candidates must be able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to standard workplace codes of conduct.
