Description
The Energy Engineer will analyze and identify ways and means to improve the effective use of energy consumption across the enterprise.  Serve as a key advisor on energy matters when reviewing cost estimates, specifications, drawings, construction documents, building control systems and maintenance repairs and modifications. 
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
1.	Energy management installs and monitoring by :
-	Energy management program including demand response and identifying control system innovations which ensure comfort while reducing energy consumption and costs.
-	Manage store schedules 
-	Set points 
-	Troubleshoot issues
-	Coordinate repairs with repair maintenance team
-	Project management over new installations and retrofits. 

2.	Conduct energy audits for 3 distribution centers and over 500 store locations by:  
-	Identifying, investigating and correcting high energy usage stores and locations 
-	Analyzing building systems and collecting data on building operation, HVAC, electrical and lighting  
-	Building controls to determine energy usage and efficiency upgrades  

3.	Partner with real estate, planning and construction to ensure energy usage (HVAC & Lighting) is most efficient in new store design.

4.	Partner with the repair and maintenance team to troubleshoot HVAC systems to ensure optimum system performance and simplified system operations.  Identify inefficient HVAC systems in need of replacement. May include HVAC retrofits and efficiency upgrades where necessary.

5.	Lighting efficiency upgrade which may include: 
-	Analyzing existing equipment 
-	Identify new lighting solutions that meet ROI criteria 
-	Project management over lighting retrofit programs

6.	Work toward renewable energy projects by:
-	Investigate and identify renewable energy opportunities that reduce overall energy costs.  
-	Project management over renewable programs.

Education & Experience Requirements:
-	PREVIOUS MULTI-SITE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED PREFERRABLY FROM A RETAIL ENVIRONMENT
-	4 year degree in mechanical, electrical, energy engineering or related field required
-	Understanding of building systems including boilers & chillers.
-	3-5 years preferred experience in energy efficiency engineering or building systems in retail applications.
-	Familiarity with utility efficiency programs.
-	Excellent analytical and quantitative capabilities with strong communication and writing skills.
-	Demonstrated initiative in problem solving methods and engineering analysis capabilities.
-	Strong desire to learn and grow.
-	Occasional domestic travel required.
